The Way to Happiness Sacramento Chapter Shares Positive Values at 36th Annual Kids Day in the Park

Volunteers distribute uplifting booklets and a new illustrated children’s guide, inspiring over 400 attendees with common-sense lessons for happier, stronger communities

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA, May 13, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Volunteers from the Sacramento Chapter of The Way to Happiness Foundation International participated in the 36th Annual Kids Day in the Park event, bringing uplifting messages and educational materials to children and parents throughout the day.

The group distributed copies of The Way to Happiness booklets along with the newly released illustrated children’s book, “How to Be Happy”, based on L. Ron Hubbard’s common-sense guide to better living.

The Way to Happiness contains 21 precepts designed to encourage positive moral values and stronger communities. Among them are, “Love and Help Children,” “Honor and Help Your Parents” “Seek to Live with the Truth,” . The Sacramento chapter regularly organizes activities that put these principles into action, including community cleanups that promote the precepts “Set a Good Example” and “Safeguard and Improve Your Environment.”

Parents and children alike responded enthusiastically to the new illustrated children’s edition, How to Be Happy. “There was a lot of excitement from parents who commented that they had not seen anything like it before,” said volunteer Liza Klagenberg. “It is a unique non-religious book based entirely on common sense.”

The chapter volunteers greeted more than 400 attendees at their booth and distributed over 500 educational materials during the event. Coordinators noted that the outreach was a meaningful way to help strengthen families and encourage positive values within the community.
