Only about 7 percent of the nation’s licensed physicians are selected annually as Castle Connolly Top Doctors in their regions for their specialties.
Dr. Connolly is a dermatologist and, since 2009, the president of Connolly Dermatology. The practice has 22 locations in New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania.
Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Connolly grew up in the area. He has been featured for his skin-health expertise by a number of national and regional media outlets.
Dr. Connolly practices both clinical dermatology and cosmetic dermatology, and cares for patients of all ages.
He diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions — from rosacea, dermatitis, psoriasis, and shingles to eczema, acne, aging skin, and scalp conditions. He also performs procedures and services such as mole removal and patch testing for allergens.
Dr. Connolly has a special interest in skin cancer, for which the practice offers screening, diagnosis, and the advanced treatments superficial radiation therapy and Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr. Connolly earned his doctoral degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing his medical training at John F. Kennedy Hospital in New Jersey, he completed a three-year dermatology residency at a PCOM-affiliated hospital. He holds a BS degree in biology from Philadelphia’s St. Joseph’s University.
