The eye-opening exhibit toured in the Phoenix area to educate the community on the harmful treatments in the field of Psychiatry.
PHOENIX, AZ, July 02, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — On Tuesday June 23rd the Citizens Commission On Human Rights (CCHR) Traveling Exhibit held its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the charming Mini Social event space in the heart of beautiful Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Master of Ceremonies, local businessman, Jimmy Alauria gave the introduction to CCHR and described its mission statement and the importance of human rights in the field of Mental Health.
The special guest speaker was Judy Renfro who is a member of JustServe, a global volunteerism movement of the LDS Church. Judy spoke about her work and experiences in helping people in the community cope with addiction and related several tragic stories of people who had lost everything to drugs.
Ms. Renfro stated, “As a society, we place tremendous trust in medical professionals. That trust also carries a profound responsibility. When prescribing medications that can alter behavior, create de-pendency, impair judgment, or affect cognitive function, careful consideration must be given not only to the intended benefits but also to the long-term consequences for the individual, their family, and the broader community.”
The ribbon was then cut opening the exhibit for tours of the graphic panels and documentaries exposing the long history of false science and practices resulting in abuses in the psychiatric industry. Guests were extremely surprised at the history of how psychiatry started. Although most had heard many stories of psychiatric abuse over the years but they couldn’t believe it was true until seeing the truth in the exhibit.
The exhibit was opened to the general public for the duration of its tour in Phoenix with much interest and fascination from the visitors who walked through the displays and watched the videos. This eye-opening and deeply moving exhibit has now gone on to its next destination city as part of a grand tour of major cities in the United States.
This CCHR exhibit travels through major cities in the Western United States and issues the warning to parents and community members that psychiatric treatments can kill. There are 14 identical traveling Exhibits in countries all over the world.
