NEW YORK, NY and BURLINGTON, VT, June 19, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Paper Garden Records recording artists The Storm Windows today release the first single from their forthcoming LIVE album: “FIONA,” a song about lost love and the highway to contemplate it.
FIONA was recorded live before an enthusiastic sold-out audience at Tank Studio, Burlington, Vermont on November 1, 2025. Performing on the recording are The Storm Windows Trio: Rob Mathews – guitar and vocals, Don Mathews – upright bass and vocals and Erik Anderson – drums. The single is being released on the PGRoots label of Paper Garden Records and will be followed by the release of a full album (including on vinyl if you are lucky enough to catch a live show this summer). The single is the band’s first release on the PGRoots label and portends the upcoming full live album to be released on August 21.

The band takes their name The Storm Windows from a song title of one of their musical heroes, John Prine, but also as an appropriate description of some veteran musicians who have weathered a few storms but are still standing and singing about it.
