Tracey Scherban Featured on Innovators’ Journey to Discuss Women in STEM

PORTLAND, OR, August 17, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ — Dr. Tracey Scherban, former chair of the Women’s Chemists Committee for the American Chemical Society, Portland section, was featured on Innovators’ Journey to discuss her work with women in science and the importance of inspiring young women and girls to pursue careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Dr. Scherban holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Columbia University and has worked as a scientific researcher, engineer and educator before shifting her focus to mentorship and advocacy for women in STEM.

Dr. Scherban has organized two Women in Science Symposia through the American Chemical Society and recently attended the International Day of Women & Girls in Science Assembly at the United Nations in NYC.

Dr. Scherban is dedicated to advocating for gender equality in STEM and highlighting the importance of women being part of the Tech Revolution and AI development.
