Rothstein Publishing Wins 2 Top Books of the Year by ASIS International

BROOKFIELD, CT, July 13, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Rothstein Publishing is excited to announce that not one, but two of our our best selling titles; both Ernie Hayden’s “Critical Infrastructure Risk Assessment: The Definitive Threat Identification and Threat Reduction Handbook”, and Tari Schreider’s “Cybersecurity Law Standards & Regulations 2e”, have won the top book awards of the year for 2021 from ASIS International; Hayden’s as the book of the year, and Schreider’s as runner up.

ASIS International, (The American Society for Industrial Security), the world’s largest association for security management professionals, announced on June 21 that Critical Infrastructure Risk Assessment: The Definitive Threat Identification and Threat Reduction Handbook by Ernie Hayden, PSP (Rothstein Publishing) was selected as its 2021 ASIS Security Industry Book of the Year.

The ASIS Security Industry Book of the Year is selected by a panel of ASIS members who review member-authored titles using criteria including relevant to today’s security threats, importance of the subject in the field, and the uniqueness of the coverage of a new security concept, idea or technology.

“Critical Infrastructure Risk Assessment is the culmination of author Ernie Hayden’s decades of experience assessing and protecting the can’t-fail organizations responsible for national security and public safety,” said Dr. Jennifer Hesterman, chair of the ASIS Book of the Year committee. “As threats to critical infrastructure abound and evolve, risks must be continuously evaluated and security planning and activities tailored accordingly. This extremely well-written and easy-to-digest book is mandatory reading for everyone working in a critical infrastructure sector, from seasoned managers to new employees on the front lines.”

Cybersecurity Law, Standards and Regulations (2nd Edition) by Tari Schreider is the FIRST book to provide a foundation resource for understanding cybersecurity and privacy law, regulations and standards at the state, federal and international levels. The extensive coverage of cyber law topics includes discussions of the foundation of law as it applies to the cyberworld; privacy; judicial rulings; cryptography and forensics law; cyber insurance; future developments in cybersecurity law; and much more.

“I have made cybersecurity my profession for nearly 25 years now and I have never seen a more comprehensive view of cybersecurity and the law. This is not only what to do but why you need to do it and how to. I am not sure who would benefit more from this book, a lawyer working in cybersecurity, or cybersecurity professionals trying to understand the laws governing their every move. This is now my go to reference book and will replace several old books on my shelf. This would have saved me a lot if I had had it several years ago.” A. Clem
