The law firm’s new name honors its long tradition of serving the injured in Southwest Georgia.
ALBANY, GA, October 24, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — The Law Offices of William F. Underwood, III, P.C. today announced that the law firm has changed its name to Underwood Law LLC.
William F. “Trey” Underwood, III, the firm’s lead attorney, says the rebranding is to acknowledge the Underwood family’s history of serving Albany, GA and the local communities. Trey’s father, William F. “Bill” Underwood, Jr., founded the firm in 1974.
“Shortening the name to Underwood Law LLC embodies the lasting legacy of Underwood service to the good people of Southwest Georgia,” he says. “It also reflects the premium my father placed on putting people over profits.” Bill Underwood passed away in 2010.
Underwood Law LLC represents clients in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases throughout Georgia and has recovered millions of dollars for clients since its inception. Trial lawyer and Albany native Ben Haggerty and attorney Cynthia “Cindi” Deese round out the team, reinforcing the firm’s dedication to providing clients with experienced representation and a welcoming, hometown feel.
Moving forward, the firm plans to continue striving to provide clients with dedicated legal representation and zealous advocacy as they pursue compensation for job injuries and injuries caused by the negligence of others.
